Storyline

Anurag Kashyap's Nishaanchi transports us back to 2006 in Kanpur, where twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo (Aaishvary Thackeray), attempt bank robbery with the former's friend, Rinku (Vedika Pinto). Their plan takes a dramatic turn when Babloo is caught by the police and sentenced to jail for 10 years. On the other hand, his twin brother Dabloo manages to escape right in time with Rinku.

The story then travels back in time, introducing Jabardasth (Viineet Kumar Siingh), an idealistic man leading a happy life with his wife (Monika Panwar) and kids: Babloo and Dabloo. But his life soon turns upside down due to a lack of recognition as a wrestler in the akhada. His friend Ambika Prasad helps him come out of the crisis. However, he is soon met with a tragic end. And that becomes a pivotal moment in shaping his son Babloo's life. But what leads Babloo to enter the world of crime and power?
