It was recently reported that she will be next seen on screen in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Bollywood debut. However, it is now alleged that Rasha has turned down the project, despite genuinely liking the script.

According to a source close to the development, Rasha was among the top choices for the romantic drama being directed by Pellissery and produced by Hansal Mehta. However, her packed schedule made it impossible for her to commit.“Rasha was the frontrunner for Hansal Mehta and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s upcoming romantic drama. The film has been buzzing ever since its announcement in October. Rasha was approached, but due to a date clash, she had to step away from a project she truly loved," a source revealed.

The insider also shared that delays in the shoot of
Laikey Laikaa, her next release, have extended her work timeline. Once she completes that film, Rasha will shift focus to her South debut alongside Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, nephew of superstar Mahesh Babu.
Lijo Jose Pellissery announced his Bollywood debut
For the unversed, renowned filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery announced his Bollywood debut earlier this year. After directing Mohanlal’s
Malaikottai Vaaliban, he is set to helm a romantic drama co-produced with Hansal Mehta under Amen Movie Monastery and True Story Films. Written by Pellissery and Karan Vyas, the film is described as a lyrical journey through love, longing, and the delicate complexities of human relationships. The project will feature music by AR Rahman.Casting is still under wraps, but reports suggest Vir Hirani (Rajkumar Hirani’s son) or actor Zahan Kapoor (grandson of Shashi Kapoor) may lead the film.
