Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Peddi, has been doing well at the box office in Telugu states. However, the sports drama has been struggling to mint numbers at the box office in the Hindi market. For the unversed, Janhvi Kapoor and makers of Peddi have been criticised for the portrayal of the female lead in the film. Amidst all, Peddi producer Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas has recently reacted to the film’s weak performance in the Hindi market. Moreover, he also thanked the Telugu-speaking audience for showering abundant love on the Ram Charan starrer.

Peddi Producer On Film’s Box Office Performance In Hindi Market

Peddi makers conducted a ‘thank you meet’ in Hyderabad on Monday evening to discuss the film’s box office performance over the weekend. Producer Venkata talked about Peddi’s poor performance at the Hindi box office. He stated that the collections are improving in the language only on Sunday. At the event, he started his speech by thanking the Telugu audience for watching Peddi. He also mentioned that the film was performing well on Monday too. He called the performance of Peddi ‘extraordinary’ on Monday.

While addressing Peddi’s low collections in Hindi despite the team's extensive promotion in non-South regions, Venkata said, “Even in Hindi, they’re saying it picked up yesterday. They’ve said that it collected around ₹5.5-6 crore. So, I hope the film's collections pick up in Hindi too.” According to Sacnilk, Peddi collected Rs 3.85 crore in Hindi on Sunday. The numbers for its Hindi version are low. As far as the overall collections are concerned, Peddi has crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office. The worldwide collection of the film is Rs 233 crore.
