Janhvi Kapoor addresses Hellallallo criticism
Talking to Times Now's Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Janhvi addressed the criticism towards
Peddi’s song,
Hellallallo, with Shruti Haasan. Revealing she was unaware of the backlash, including Ram Charan, the actress said an actor’s job is to trust the director and their vision. “In the milieu of the film and where the characters are based, I guess it made (sense)... I didn't think the song was vulgar. It's just, I felt like we were just dancing,” she told. When asked if the song’s choreography made her uncomfortable, Janhvi said what would make her feel uneasy was if the makers wanted to 'titillate' the audience. "I don't think that's where my director operated from at all with regards to this song,” she shared. Kapoor added, “I wasn't the only one dancing like that. Neither was Shruti. He was also doing the same dance steps. I think, khot phir dekhne walon ki aankhon mein hai, hai na?”
