comedian Sumaira Shaikh is one of the 50 contestants participating in Farah Khan's much-awaited reality show, The 50. The reality show brings together contestants from different walks of life. While some are actors and influencers, the rest include reality show stars. Set to premiere on February 1, 2026, The 50 will stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. Ahead of its grand launch, Sumaria exclusively interacted with Zoom. In conversation with us, the stand-up comedian revealed her strategy to survive in the game. She also admitted about being scared to show her 'angry' avatar on the reality show.
Sumaira Shaikh on strategy to survive The 50
During this chat, Sumaira revealed how she plans to survive in the game with 49 other contestants. The stand-up comedian shared that she plans to make friends in order to survive on the show. At the same time, she intends to be 'genuine and truthful', but also 'curt and blunt'.
The 50 contestant further revealed one side of her personality she is 'scared' of revealing on the show. "Probably angry, and not being in control," added Sumaira. When she was asked about a 'red line' she wouldn't cross inside the palace, she replied, "Hurting someone physically. I believe it's wrong and I just can't do that. And I won't stand it as well! Continuing the conversation, Sumaira revealed what mistake could lead to her elimination from The 50. "I feel it could be not having enough people who have your back in the show."

Q: What move would you make in this game that fans would hate, but would still be the smartest way to win?A: Honestly the game has the control! If it comes down to lying and cheating, I feel every contestant would do that.
Q: What would be a bigger failure for you: leaving early, or losing at the very end?A: I don't think this way. Whatever happens in life, I accept that decision and try to be better.
Q: Why should you be the one person who wins The 50?A: I am very sincere, and loyal. If I do win, it’ll be because I stuck to the people I am loyal to from the beginning.
