Alia Bhatt has reviewed Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar. The actress-producer returned from her New Year vacation with husband Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Raha Kapoor. On Thursday, she penned
a note for the Dhurandhar team on the social media handle of her production house, Eternal Sunshine. Alia praised the film for being the ‘voice of today’s India’. Dhurandhar is the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. The second part of the spy drama is releasing in theatres on March 19, along with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups and Adivi Sesh-Mrunal Thakur’s Dacoit. On Eternal Sunshine Productions’ social media handle, a note penned by Alia read, “It's the voice of today's India. It's the choice of today's India. It's based on a chapter in history. And now it's the number one chapter in India's cinema history. Cheers to Dhurandhar. And three cheers to the ENTIRE team. You not only created waves. You brought the high tide back to the theatres. If this is what part one did in winter, imagine what part two will bring in spring!!!” The actress shared the same on her Instagram Stories.
At the domestic box office,
Dhurandhar has minted over Rs 800 crore and it is still running with fewer shows in theatres across the country. Its worldwide collection has crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark. Amid its critical and commercial success, all eyes are now on the film's second part.
Letter to PM Modi
Dhurandhar has been banned in Gulf countries. Recently, it was revealed that the film lost around Rs 90 crores due to the ban. Now, the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) has formally written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to step in and lift the ban.
