Anthropic Responds To Claude’s Strange Sleep Advice

Claude could be said to be one of the most efficient artificial intelligence models available in the market. However, whether it is Claude or ChatGPT, all these models sometimes radiate unusual behaviour. One such issue that has been witnessed on Claude is that it keeps repeatedly asking the users to go to sleep, get rest, or take a break. In a recent development, an Anthropic employee has responded to the claims suggesting that the company is aware of the issue and plans to address it in future models. Sam MacAllister, a staff member at Anthropic, posted on X, 'bit of a characteristic, but we're aware of this and hoping to fix it in future models.'The comment from the official came after a lot of Reddit users shared posts discussing that Claude is encouraging

them to rest and sometimes it gets repetitive with the same. Responses shared by Claude included both simple reminders and personalised messages. To one of the users, Claude said, 'Now go to sleep again. Again. A Reddit user said, 'it often does it at like 8:30 in the morning. Tells me to go get some rest and we'll pick back up in the morning.'Now, the unusual behaviour of Claude has led to multiple assumptions ranging from wellbeing feature bets testing to computing load reduction practices. Nonetheless, reports related to the same suggest that these explanations are unlikely, as Claude does not have access to the usage pattern details of individuals. Multiple experts have told Fortyune that the sleep reminder's from Claude may stem from patterns in its training data instead of any awareness or empathy towards the users.
