Singh's spy thriller, Dhurandhar, was unstoppable at the box office and now has taken over the OTT space as well. The film managed to keep the momentum alive and is now one of the top binge suggestions on Netflix. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller was released on December 5, 2025, and within three weeks of its release, it crossed the Rs 500 crore mark. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Aditya, and Arjun Rampal. All the songs of the film became chartbusters and are still high on trends. The film received a lot of praise from all over, actors, directors, critics and even sportsmen but, one verdict on the film, made by the director of Dhadak 2, made rounds recently as she called it 'sinister.'

Shazia Iqbal, the filmmaker of Triptii Dimri, Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer Dhadak 2, took to social media and bashed the Aditya Dhar directorial brutally. After a successful theatrical run, the film was released on Netflix recently, and the buzz surrounding it refuses to die down. Amid the praises Dhurandhar has been receiving, Shazia took to her Insta stories to slam the film and its makers. And a day after posting the negative review, the director seem to have made her account private which was earlier a public one.

While she did not mention Dhurandhar anywhere, she added the film's song in the background and it was enough for everyone to guess that she is referring to the Aditya Dhar-directed film. "What a sinister film! It’s not hidden, it’s not unintentional – inciting hate and violence is in the DNA of the film. But it’s a ‘well made’ film guys… With some cool BgM (smile emoji)," she wrote.

Hours after her stories went viral on social media, Shazia made her Instagram account private so that not everyone can see what she is posting. Dhadak 2 director's social has been public for quite some time now and today, as she made it private, netizens are wondering the reason behind it.

For the unversed, Shazia made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak 2. While the film received positive reviews from critics and fans, it managed to earn only Rs 22.45 crore at box office in India. She had earlier directed the 2018 short film Bebaak, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
