is the biggest hit of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. He played the role of an alpha male, Ranvijay Singh, who can go to any extent to find and kill the attacker of his father, played by Anil Kapoor. While the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film did solid business at the box office, it was highly criticised by a section of people and critics for showing violence, toxic masculinity and deep-seated misogyny. The film is all set to premiere in Japan on February 13. Ahead of it, Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga attended a virtual press conference to interact with media. During a candid interaction, Ranbir revealed why he said yes to the film despite finding Ranvijay’s character ‘scary’.

Animal’s character Ranvijay Singh, which was highly criticised by some people. For the unversed, Ranbir’s performance was lauded by the masses.
While reacting to the question, the Barfi actor gave credit to Sandeep Reddy Vanga for seeing him in such a different character. Kapoor said, “When I heard the narration from Sandeep, I found the character extremely scary.” The actor connected with the emotions of the character and said yes to the role after Vanga showed confidence in him. According to Ranbir, people got connected to Animal’s family story, and that is what he found exciting about it as an actor.
Ranbir Kapoor On Challenging Sequence In Animal
Animal was quite a challenging film for Ranbir Kapoor. When asked about the challenging sequence from the Sandeep Reddy Ganga-directed film, the Besharam star stated that it was a climax sequence which demanded him and Bobby Deol shirtless in freezing cold weather.
Ranbir said, “I completely enjoyed the action sequences because they were original. It was quite a memorable fight sequence.” The actor also loved the interval sequence in the film, which showed him using a machine gun designed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Suresh Selvarajan. For the unversed, it was the highlight of the film.

After Animal, Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be making its sequel, Animal Park, which will show Ranbir Kapoor in a double role.
