As promised, the makers of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming movie have released its title. The film, which was tentatively titled VD14, has been titled Ranabaali. Produced by Naveen Yerneni
and Y. Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the action-thriller's release date has also been confirmed. While Vijay plays the male lead, Rashmika will be seen as the female lead of Ranabaali. Interestingly, this movie marks Vijay and Rahul's big screen reunion after their 2018 film, Taxiwala. Having said that, their upcoming project promises to be bigger and better in terms of scale.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Vijay revealed the title of his upcoming movie with Rashmika. While sharing the new glimpse and film titled on the social networking platform, the actor penned, "The British called him a “SAVAGE” I do not Disagree :) He was “OUR” Savage! A few days ago, the actor had shared a poster of his action-thriller on Instagram. In the poster, Vijay could be seen seated inside an ancient temple, facing a glowing figure. The actor flaunted his muscular physique while being seated in a calm and meditative pose. Apart from
Vijay and Rashmika, the film stars Arnold Vosloo. Best known for his performance in
The Mummy, the actor will be seen playing the role of British officer in Vijay-Rashmika starrer. His presence in the movie was confirmed after actor Vinod Sagar posted picture with him from the set.

For those unaware,
Vijay and Rashmika have worked together on two successful Telugu movies. The actors shared screen space with each other in Bharat Kamma's Dear Comrade. In the 2019 movie, the actor was seen as Chaitanya Krishna Makineni while Rashmika played the role of Aparna. Shruti Ramachandran was also a part of their film as Jaya.
Apart from Dear Comrade, they worked on the romantic comedy, Geetha Govindam. Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 5 crore, their 2018 film turned out to be a box office success. While the actor played the role of Vijay Govind, his co-star Rashmika the character of Geetha Kanuganti.

On the work front, Vijay was last seen in Gowtam Tinnanuri's Kingdom. Featuring him as constable Surya, the spy thriller was theatrically released on July 31, 2025.
