Apple’s WWDC 2026 event is now just few days away, but leaks around iOS 27 have already started surfacing online. And this time, the reports suggest Apple could finally be preparing a major Siri overhaul with AI features that feel much closer to ChatGPT and Gemini than the Siri users know today. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, several major iOS 27 features have leaked ahead of Apple’s June 8 event, including a redesigned Siri app, AI-powered photo tools and deeper integration with the Dynamic Island. The report also includes recreated renders based on information allegedly shared by sources inside Apple.Siri Is About To Change DramaticallyFor years, Apple’s voice assistant has often felt noticeably behind rivals like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.
But iOS 27 may finally change that. As per the Bloomberg report, the iPhone maker is reportedly rebuilding Siri into a much more conversational AI assistant with chatbot-like functionality. Users may soon be able to hold ongoing back-and-forth conversations with Siri instead of asking isolated commands one at a time. The redesigned Siri app is said to feature a darker interface with a dedicated “Ask Siri” text box, voice controls, file attachments and even a full conversation history page. In some ways, it sounds far closer to ChatGPT than the Siri people are currently used to.Dynamic Island Could Become Apple’s AI HubAccording to the report, the tech giant may introduce a new “Search or Ask” interface that can be triggered by swiping down from the top-centre of the screen. Siri responses would then appear as rich interactive cards expanding directly out of the Dynamic Island. Users could continue conversations inside the full Siri app if they need more detailed responses. The US tech giant is also reportedly giving Siri better on-screen awareness and personal context understanding, meaning the assistant may finally understand what is happening on your display in real time.
