About 120 BahadurThe Farhan Akhtar–starrer film, set during the 1962 war between India and China, released in theatres on November 21. It tells the story of the brave soldiers who fought in the famous Battle of Rezang La, which took place in November 1962. It is remembered as one of the most heroic last stands in India’s military history. In freezing cold and against a much bigger Chinese army, the soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment’s Charlie Company defended the Rezang La pass in Ladakh. They held their positions and fought until their very last breath.Their leader, Major Shaitan Singh (played by Farhan Akhtar), became a symbol of great courage. Even under heavy enemy fire, he moved from one post to another, encouraging his men to keep fighting. He refused to retreat despite being badly injured.
