As per Times Of India, Lokesh Kanagaraj has received a salary of Rs. 35 crore for this film. This is comes as a surprise for several fans as this a huge paycheck for a debut acting project.It has been said that this amount is not just for his acting but also for contributing to the film as a screenplay writer. Sun Pictures, the film's official producers haven't released any official update on this yet.

In the past, Lokesh Kanagaraj has revealed his salary for working on his film Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead. He went on to say that he took home a sum of Rs 50 crore for Coolie. “While I don’t want to talk about Rajini sir’s salary, I think I deserve the Rs 50 crore; I am going to pay tax on it, and two years of my life have gone to this project alone. It’s a Rs 400 crore film, and there is a lot of responsibility riding on my shoulders. I am very excited about it, and if the film does well and we earn a lot, all that money is going to help my family and friends, with whom I lost touch during the time I was working on Coolie.”DC also stars Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead.
