actor Pawan Kalyan has recently received recognition and applause with his formal induction into Kenjutsu, the ancient Japanese art of swordsmanship. This has come after his rigourous training and seriousness towards the martial arts technique. The actor has showcased developments through his films like Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, Thammudu, Khushi, Annavaram, and They Call Him OG. He is also the first Telugu-speaking person to be inducted into the Takeda Shingen Clan under the lineage of Soke Muramatsu Sensei outside Japan.

Long before films and politics, martial arts shaped Pawan Kalyan’s life. During his early days in Chennai, he trained rigorously in karate, embracing not just the physical discipline but its philosophy. What began as practice soon turned into a deeper passion, leading him to seriously study and follow the traditions of Japanese Samurai culture. Pawan Kalyan has been conferred with multiple international honours. He has awarded the prestigious Fifth Dan (5th Dan) by the Sogo Budo Kanri Kai, one of the most respected authorities in traditional Japanese martial arts. Additionally, Pawan Kalyan was felicitated by the Golden Dragons organisation with the distinguished title “Tiger of Martial Arts."
