Her temple visit coincided with the Tamil Nadu election results day. Many netizens wondered if the actress prayed for Thalapathy Vijay's victory. He contested elections through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. After the actor's historic win, an old video of Trisha has gone viral on social media. It features the actress joking that she wants to become Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Trisha was asked about her long term goals and ambition. To this, the actress jokingly said, "I want to become the CM of Tamil Nadu. Honestly! Wait and see." She playfully added that she will achieve her goal in next 10 years. Her interview is said to be from 2004.
The actress was also asked what she would do after becoming the CM. Reacting to it, Trisha stated, "First, you all vote and elect me, then I’ll tell you." As of today, Trisha's rumoured boyfriend, Thalapathy Vijay, is preparing to take charge as Tamil Nadu's next Chief Minister.
Earlier, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, the actress had reflected upon her reunion with Vijay for Leo. Trisha shared that he has done four films with the actor, and their on-screen pair is loved by fans. Trisha also said that she had been receiving calls to know what their roles in Leo are as they were returning after long gap. It all happened after Vijay's estranged wife Sangeetha Sornalingam filed for divorce from him. She claimed that Vijay has an extramarital affair with other actress.
