IFTDA has expressed that the incident has created an "atmosphere of fear and insecurity" that shouldn't be allowed to scare or discourage people in the artistic community. People in the association asked Devendra Fadnavis, the chief minister of Maharashtra, to step in and make sure that those who were guilty were punished severely. The association further said in the statement that it trusts the Mumbai Police and demands swift arrests and safety and security of Rohit Shetty and his family. It also said, "IFTDA stands firmly with Mr. Rohit Shetty and his whole family during this difficult time."

Five rounds were fired by unknown shooters outside of Rohit Shetty's multi-story home in Juhu around 12:45 am, according to the police. Things went wrong while the director was at home, but no one was hurt. The shots were heard by a security guard outside the house, who quickly called Shetty, who then called the cops.Police arrived at the scene and found several bullet holes. They then filed an FIR at the Juhu police station under the Arms Act. More guards have been put up outside the director's house to make it safer. A search has begun, but the reason behind the firing is yet unknown.
5 accused apprehended
Authorities have detained five individuals allegedly involved in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with police questioning the accused to determine the motive and more. Meanwhile, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack outside the producer's Mumbai home.They are all residents of Pune, Maharashtra. Authorities are interrogating them to determine the motive and uncover any larger conspiracy.

A camera next to Rohit's home in Juhu caught one of the suspects firing, which was shown on CCTV video. The person was able to commit the crime without being captured because of the busy street nearby the director's residence. The suspect, who was dressed in black, walked up to Rohit's building and fired shots before running away.

The event has once again raised concerns around the safety of celebrities residing in Mumbai. There have been a lot of similar cases in the last few months, which has got the police authorities on high alert. For instance, in November 2025, five people were charged with firing shots outside of Salman Khan's home in Bandra.
