May 10, Thalapathy Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The oath ceremony was held at Chennai’s Nehru Stadium. The actor-turned-politician's parents, SA Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar, were present at the venue. Several political leaders and actors were also seen at his swearing-in ceremony. Vijay's Leo co-star Trisha Krishan, too, marked her presence. She was seen greeting his family members after reaching the venue. And now, the actress has finally shared her first reaction on Thalapathy Vijay becoming Tamil Nadu CM. Here's what she exclusively told Times Now.

In an exclusive interview with Times Now, Trisha said, "Congratulations. I am super happy." The actress was further asked to share something for people of Tamil Nadu who supported Vijay. To this, she stated, "Yes, congratulations." Take a look at her video below:
Before leaving for the oath ceremony, Trisha had expressed that she was looking forward to attend the major political event. For this event, the actress opted for a silk saree. For the unversed, she has professionally collaborated with TVK Chief on many films. They have worked together in movies like Ghilli,
Leo, Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi. In Vijay's last big screen release, GOAT, she made a special appearance in a song.Earlier, at the success meet of Leo, Trisha had opened up about reuniting with Vijay for a film. The actress stated that working with Vijay again was like meeting a 'school friend' after a long time. "There was the same sense of security, affection, and companionship," she said.
Thalapathy Vijay's first speech as Tamil Nadu CM
In his first speech as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Vijay promised people of TN that would never misuse a single rupee of public money. He reminded people that he didn't enter politics for money. Moreover, he assured everyone that he would never allow corruption or permit anyone to make money through corrupt practices. "This government will belong to the people, and together we will build a stronger and better Tamil Nadu," he said.
Trisha Krishnan's work front
On the work front, Trisha will next be seen in Karuppu with Suriya. Directed by R Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on May 14, 2026.
