Lauren Gottlieb on Mother's Day significance
Lauren told
Zoom, “My mom has always been the one person who makes everything feel okay, no matter how chaotic life gets. She’s my comfort, my biggest supporter, and honestly, the person who knows me better than anyone else. Even on the toughest days, one conversation with her somehow makes things lighter. I don’t think we say it enough, but so much of who I am comes from her strength, love, and the little things she does every day without expecting anything back.”
Lauren Gottlieb reveals mother's reaction to building career in India
Revealing her mother’s reaction to her decision to move to India for work, Lauren added, “Honestly, I think it was a mix of excitement and concern for her. Moving across the world to a completely different country and culture is a huge step, especially when you don’t fully know what lies ahead. But my mom has always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my heart. Even when she was nervous, she never let fear stop me from chasing my dreams. She was definitely one of my strongest pillars throughout that journey. Knowing that she trusted me gave me the confidence to take that leap and build a life and career in
India.”
Lauren Gottlieb recalls Mother's Day celebration at home
Recalling how Mother’s Day looks like at home, she mentioned, “One of the most special Mother’s Days for me wasn’t about a big celebration or gifts, it was actually a very simple day spent together with family, good food, laughter, and uninterrupted time with my mom. Because of my work, I’ve spent many years travelling or away from home, so the moments where I can just be present with her feel the most valuable. I’ve realised over time that mothers don’t really ask for grand gestures; they just want your time, love, and attention. Even though I’m on the other side of the world, sending her flowers on Mother’s Day is something I never miss because it’s my small way of reminding her that no distance could ever lessen my love and gratitude for her.”After moving out of Mumbai following her wedding to
Tobias Jones last year, Lauren returned to Mumbai and purchased an apartment.
