Kangana Ranaut has said one cannot become a star "without gaining enemies." Reacting to the ongoing feud between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over the Don 3 row, Kangana weighed in and shared her opinion on the issue. On the sidelines of the trailer launch of her new film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the actress-turned-politician was asked about her stand on one of Bollywood's biggest fights seen in recent times. The Dhurandhar actor and Farhan Akhtar are at loggerheads over Excel Entertainment's highly ambitious project, Don 3, after Ranveer walked out of the project days before it went on floors. Ever since, the matter has travelled through the corridors of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the Cine and TV Artistes
Association (CINTAA).
Kangana Ranaut reacts to Ranveer Singh Vs Farhan Akhtar
On June 2, during a press meet for her latest project, which also marks her return to the big screen,
Kangana Ranaut was asked about her stance on the Ranveer vs Farhan matter. The actress said, "You cannot become a star without gaining enemies. Ranveer Singh should sit and think about what a huge star he has become, that he's also got enemies against him. When you grow in life, you face a series of obstacles. You cannot always have a smooth walk."
Laughing off at how she has personally been through similar situations, Kangana added, "I've personally faced so much. Today, I'm doing well in life. So there's nothing to worry. Everything is going to be fine, eventually."
About Ranveer Singh's Don 3 controversy
The controversy erupted after reports claimed that
Ranveer Singh had stepped away from
Don 3 shortly before production was scheduled to begin. Directed and produced by Farhan Akhtar, the film was reportedly already in an advanced stage of pre-production when news of his exit surfaced.
Following these developments, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issued a non-cooperation notice against the actor on May 25, 2026. Reports suggested that the move came after a complaint from Akhtar, who allegedly stated that the sudden withdrawal had resulted in losses of nearly Rs 45 crore for the project. However, FWICE president BN Tiwari later clarified that the federation was not seeking a permanent ban on Ranveer. Instead, it intends to hear the actor’s explanation and work toward a fair resolution.
Ranveer Singh's work front

Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar. He returned as Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, in the spy thriller. Backed by Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar Films, the movie hit theatres on March 19 and emerged a blockbuster.
