Kaantha, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani, Rana Daggubati and Bhagyashri Borse released in cinemas on 14 November. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the period drama opened several fans praising the depiction

Baghyashri Borse Talks About The 'Slap' Scene In Dulquer Salmaan's Kaantha
In a crucial scene Baghyashri Borse had to slap Dulquer Salmaan not once but several times. Talking to IANS Bhagyashri Borse was asked about the difficulty of enacting such a scene and said she really wanted to fake it but Dulquer Salmaan wanted it to look genuine. She said "It took me a lot of time, I was not ready to do it because I was like 'Can I please fake it?' because I have never had to hit anybody. But I think DQ (Dulquer Salmaan) really wanted that. He wanted that real expression to come out of him. So I had to do what my co-actor wanted me to do."A a few days Bhagyashri Borse has penned a note of gratitude to Dulquer Salmaan calling him, "a nadippu chakravarthy (emperor of acting)".
Taking to her Instagram page, Bhagyashri Borse wrote a post thanking director Selvamani Selvaraj, and actors Rana Daggubati and Dulquer Salmaan. She marked the day 30.03.2023 as the day she truly became Kumari, her character from Kaantha.Bhagyashri then penned a note for the film's lead actor Dulquer Salmaan, saying, "To my dearest co-actor Dulquer Salmaan, you’re a true 'Nadippu Chakravarthy', it was a great pleasure acting beside you and you’ve shined in every single frame. You’re an inspiration as an actor for us all!"The film is jointly produced by Rana Daggubati and Dulquer Salmaan under their Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films banners respectively.
