This made the filmmaker confirm, specifying that they will stay true to the sentiments while also giving it a 'contemporary touch'.

Co-producer Bhushan Kumar has broken his silence on whether Border 2 will feature the iconic patriotic song Sandese Aate Hai from the original film. To this, he said, "Humne near to original rakha hai… this time we have added other singers also. January 2 ko launch karenge in Longewala with Armed Forces. It’s a very very special song. Humne koshish ki hai ki usko original ki feel se alag na rakhe, yet aaj ki sound usme de." A video of Sunny Deol from the teaser launch event of his upcoming film Border 2 is going viral, where the actor had teary red eyes. He also spoke a dialogue from his film as he said, "Aawaz kahaan tak jaani cahiye, Lahore tak (How far should the voice go? all the way to Lahore)." This dialogue can also be seen in the official teaser.

The event marked the actor's first public appearance after his father, veteran actor Dharmendra's sudden demise on November 24, 2025.
