you ever thought of a Bollywood actor who could do Lalit Modi's biopic? Well, Ranveer Singh once showed keen interest in portraying this character in the former IPL Commissioner's biopic. In an interview, Lalit recalled meeting the Dhurandhar 2 star a few years ago in London. At that time, the actor expressed his wish to do the biopic. While no actor is finalised yet, Lalit shared that the biopic is being made. Speaking to a news agency, the former IPL commissioner shared that his biopic is now in the scripting stage.

In an interview with ANI, Lalit was asked who he would want to play his role in the biopic. To this, the 62-year-old said, "Ranveer wants to play me. He came and saw me. I would like him to play." The former IPL commissioner stated that he only knew Deepika and had never met the actor before. However, one day Lalit got a call from someone who said that the Dhurandhar 2 star wanted to see him.

Later, the businessman met Ranveer in London. During their meeting, Ranveer said he would want to play the role of Lalit Modi as a commissioner, he recalled. "It wasn't me asking him. I think he's great. Without doubt, he's amazing. And what he has done with," added Lalit.While the businessman isn't sure if Ranveer would want to do his biopic, the actor had expressed his wish to Lalit two years ago. That said, the 62-year-old is happy to know that Singh did well with the Dhurandhar franchise.

Lalit Modi backs Sushmita Sen

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Lalit defended his ex-partner Sushmita Sen against those who called her a gold digger. The businessman called himself a 'diamond digger', who didn't pay for anything when he went out with her. "She paid for everything. I was like a kept boyfriend," he mentioned. Lalit further called the Bollywood actress 'remarkable and self-made lady'.

Ranveer Singh's work front

On the work front, Ranveer was last seen in Dhurandhar The Revenge. The actor played the role of Hamza Ali Mazari/ Jaskirat Singh Rangi in thes spy thriller. Directed by Aditya Dhar, it was a sequel to Dhurandhar, which was released in December last year. As for part two, it arrived in theatres on March 19. Next up, he is likely to be seen in Jai Mehta's Pralay.
