Percy Jackson's Aryan Simhadri Shares How Quest Is Expanded With Season 2, New Cast Fit In Immediately | EXCL

In the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, actors Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri take on a bigger quest in the Sea of Monsters. This time, they are joined by actors Charlie

Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer, who play Luke, Clarisse, and Tyson. Aryan, who plays Grover Underwood, talked about the cast expanding with each season and named the character he'd like to play in the Percy Jackson universe.

In an interview with Zoom, Aryan addressed how Percy, Annabeth, and Grover's friendship has changed since Season 1. He shared, "That's an interesting question because I think we're all apart. And this is kind of the first time since season one that we're all back together, except we're not. Like I'm not even really there. It's hard to talk about the trio's main bond without talking about how our family has expanded because the only way that we're all still kind of connected is through these other members that have joined our quest. It's through Clarisse. It's through Daniel, even through Luke, even though he's not really part of our quest."

He continued, "And then we'll finally get that moment back at the end when we're all together. I think it's just this moment of, like, we never want that to happen ever again. We made this promise in season one to meet under the tree. And we finally get to make it happen. And it's a huge moment for all of us." Aryan said, "I think Luke would be a lot of fun to play. I think that would be cool. I would not be as good as Charlie [Bushnell], though. I think I'm going to have to go, Luke. He seems like the most fun to me. Yeah, I think Ethan Nakamura in the fifth book is a super cool, very complex character to play. Maybe even Nico. I don't know; I just want to try a bunch of different roles."Finally, the young star also spoke about the large ensemble cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. He exclaimed, "I'm just so glad that our family is growing. And next season, we get to add Tamara [Smart] and Saara [Chaudhry] as Zoe Nightshade. We get to add Daphne [Keen] as Artemis. Like every season, the cast just keeps getting bigger and better. And I've never met a cast member who hasn't just like fit right in.
