beloved director-actor pairs will be bringing their A-game, whereas new on-screen romantic couples could just redefine modern love stories. This is only the beginning, as the best is yet to unfold. Border 2 – January 23
Border 2, headlined by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, is based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in association with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. Backed by a powerful production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, and directed by Anurag Singh, the film will celebrate the legacy of honouring the heroism and indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers.
Tu Yaa Main – February 13
Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor have teamed up for the first time on Aanand L Rai’s
Tu Yaa Main. Touted to be a ‘high-concept, date-fright’ film, it is directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The first teaser of
Tu Yaa Main introduced Adarsh and Shanaya as social media influencers who find themselves fighting for survival in the wild against a man-eating crocodile.
O' Romeo – February 13
Shahid Kapoor reunites with Vishal Bhardwaj for
O’ Romeo. Co-starring Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vikrant Massey, Avinash Tiwary and Disha Patani, the film is reportedly a crime drama set in the earlier years.
Do Deewane Seher Mein – February 20
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur are the new romantic Sanjay Leela Bhansali pair of 2026.
Do Deewane Seher Mein is a musical love story about Sasank and Rosni. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film releases after the Valentine’s Day 2026 weekend.
Mardaani 3 – February 27
Rani Mukerji is returning as a fearless cop, Shivani Shivaji Roy, in Yash Raj Films’
Mardaani 3. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the crime thriller releases on February 27, 2026. The first teaser is yet to be unveiled.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do – March 4
Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi will be seen in
Pati Patni Aur Woh’s spiritual sequel, titled
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. The film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is scheduled to release on March 4, 2026, during Holi in India. In an exclusive interview with
Zoom, Ayushmann revealed that it is not an exact sequel and promised the film would entertain the audience.
Dhurandhar: Part 2 – March 19

Alpha – To Be Locked
Averting a clash with
Dhurandhar: Part 2, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s
Alpha has changed its release date. An update on the same is awaited. The spy thriller is produced by Yash Raj Films and is the next chapter in the Spyverse after Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s
War 2.
Alpha also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. It is directed by Shiv Rawail.
Love And War – To Be Locked
Love And War had blocked March 20 for its theatrical release initially. However, with pending shoot days, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently aiming to push the film’s release to August/September 2026. The plot of the film has been kept under wraps, and all we know is that it is a period drama. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are headlining
Love And War.
Bhooth Bangla – April 2
Akshay Kumar has ventured into the horror comedy space after a long time. With
Bhooth Bangla, he reunites with director Priyadarshan after many years. The film also stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Wamiqa Gabbi. It is a Good Friday release.
Awarapan 2 – April 2
Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani’s
Awarapan 2 is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The previous part was directed by Mohit Suri, whereas the sequel is helmed by Nitin Kakkar.
Chand Mera Dil – April 10
After the success of

Battle of Galwan – April 17

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai – June 5
David Dhawan is returning to the director’s chair with
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Headlined by Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, the rom-com reportedly follows the story of a man who was rejected by several women, but ends up getting help from God.
Naagzilla – August 14
Kartik Aaryan’s
Naagzilla is releasing on Independence Day 2026. The shooting has commenced under Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s direction. Kartik plays a shape-shifting snake in the fantasy adventure film.
Drishyam 3 – October 2
Ajay Devgn’s
Drishyam 3 is releasing on October 2. After Akshaye Khanna’s controversial exit from the Abhishek Pathak directorial, Jaideep Ahlawat has stepped in and will be playing a completely new character. According to reports,
Drishyam 3 will be releasing in theatres months after the Malayalam version. The film also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.
Ramayana Part 1 – Diwali 2026
One of the most expensive films made in India,
Ramayana: The Introduction, is releasing in theatres on Diwali 2026. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the mythological drama stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and many others.
Shakti Shalini – December 24
Aneet Padda takes the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe forward with
Shakti Shalini, which is touted to be the most important chapter of the franchise. The film releases on December 24, 2026.
Cocktail 2 – To Be Locked
Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna and Shahid Kapoor are playing the leads in Homi Adajania’s
Cocktail 2. The previous film starred Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty and Saif Ali Khan. The shooting of the spiritual sequel is still in progress. The film is expected to release in the second half of 2026.
Haiwaan – To Be Locked
Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Priyadarshan are coming together for
Haiwaan. Touted to be the Hindi remake of
Oppam, the film also stars Saiyami Kher, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sharib Hashmi. The shoot wrapped up in early December. As per reports, it will release around mid-2026.
Daayra – To Be Locked
Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran are the leads of Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film,
Daayra. Backed by Junglee Pictures, the film wrapped up later in December. The release date is yet to be announced.
