In an old interview, the actress had revealed how she and Suraj dealt with fights after getting married. The duo tied the knot as per Bengali and Malayali traditions on January 27, 2022. They had a destination wedding in Goa.

In an old interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni stated that when two people are together, they have arguments and problems. But when it comes to dealing with fights, the actress said the moment one gets married, they have a sense of stability and become grounded.
"What’s the point of prolonging this fight or this argument? So, you come to a middle ground much quicker than when you’re just boyfriend-girlfriend," she had mentioned. Mouni also told the entertainment portal that egos are much more than love in itself. However, the biggest change she and Suraj witnessed in themselves was becoming 'better in giving' than receiving. She added, "Give more love, give more understanding, and be there for each other more." And when one does that for the other person, Mouni mentioned that there is always a reciprocation. She also called her husband a wise and intelligent man.

In the same interview, Mouni had revealed why she and Suraj exchanged wedding vows twice in one day. The Brahmastra actress shared that her mother wanted a Bengali wedding, while Nambiar's mother wanted a Malayali. They ended up tying the knot as per both rituals. Cut to now, there are rumours of divorce going viral on social media. However, neither Mouni nor Suraj have reacted to the speculations yet.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The actress will be seen sharing space with Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi. Directed by David Khan, the movie will be theatrically released on June 5, 2026. It was earlier set to release on May 22, but its clash with Ananya Panday and Lakshya's Chand Mera Dil has been averted.
