The 2025 MAMA Awards will take place as per schedule, despite concerns of a postponement following the deadly Hong Kong fire. The organisers confirmed the same through a statement after queries about a change in the plan surfaced. The main ceremony will take place over two days on November 28 and 29.On November 27, MyDaily reposted that in light of the major fire that broke out in Hong Kong's Tai Po district a day before, the 2025 MAMA Awards organizing team held meetings on-site and decided to proceed with the event as per schedule rather than canceling it. It however stated that the mega even this year will be turned to a subdued and solemn one. This comes as several artists are already enroute Hong Kong to attend and present the ceremony.ALSO

About Hong Kong fire
On November 26, around afternoon, a massive fire erupted in a residential high-rise apartment complex in its northern Tai Po district leaving at least 36 people dead and 279 remain missing. The location of the tragedy is reportedly 21 km (20 minutes) from Kai Tak Stadium, the venue for the 2025 MAMA Awards. Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh who were supposed to turn presenters, have reportedly announced of not attending the event.
