One
of our favourtie K-pop band BTS is all set to announce their upcoming large-scale project titled THE CITY Seoul. This comes as a confirmation from the band's agency BIGHIT Music after their announced their much awaited album launch plans. It will have a series of music, light and media festivities across the city of Seoul and will span from end March till mid April, coinciding the new album launch date of March 20. It will be a “riveting cultural experience.”
BTS announces city-wide events ahead of album release
After announcing the fifth full-length album Arirang, the seven member boy band has now come up with city wide events to add meaning to the modern media art and cultural heritage sites across the city of Seoul. The first comeback live performance at Gwanghwamun Square (on March 21, a day after the album release) will also be streamed on Netflix and is titled titled
BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG. The event will also cover hotspots such as Sungnyemun and N Seoul Tower, Yeouido Hangang Park (March 22), Goyang Stadium (on April 9, 11, and 12). It will run from March 20 till April 12 and will be a 'riveting cultural experience'.
Netflix to livestream

Netflix announced that it would live-stream the
BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang and later release the
BTS: The Return documentary.
During a press release, BIGHIT Music representative spoke about the exciting shows marking their comeback after almost 4-year hiatus. They said, "During
THE CITY SEOUL, we worked in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to design programs that allow both tourists and citizens visiting Seoul to experience the culture and art of Korea while celebrating BTS’ return in a multi-dimensional way. We have also prepared partnership events across various sectors, including F&B and mobility.”
Return of King Of K-Pop
BTS' performance at Gwanghwamun will mark a historical moment. Fans are even calling it symbolic of the return of the 'Kings of K-pop' following their almost 4-year hiatus due to the mandatory military service. For the unversed, BTS comprises of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook with the new album set to release on March 21, 2026 - 4.30 PM in India (8 PM KST / 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET).
BTS: The Return documentary will release on March 27, 2026 on OTT platform Netflix.
ARIRANG world tour
BTS will also embark on its ARIRANG World Tour, spanning 34 cities with at least 79 shows across five continents. The tour will begin with three shows in Goyang, South Korea's Goyang Stadium in April before heading to Tokyo for two nights at its famous Tokyo Dome (April 17-18). It'll then travel to North America, US, Europe, UK and more.
