Amazon Launches Echo Dot Max And New Echo Studio In India: Price Starts At Rs 10,999

Amazon has expanded its Echo lineup in India with the launch of two new smart speakers: the Echo Dot Max and the refreshed Echo Studio. The US-based tech giant unveiled both devices after debuting them at the Amazon Devices Event 2025, bringing upgraded sound hardware, improved smart home controls and deeper Alexa integration. The company is positioning the Echo Dot Max as the most powerful Echo Dot yet, while the new Echo Studio arrives as a redesigned premium smart speaker focused on immersive audio. the speaker delivers nearly three times the bass output compared to the Echo Dot (5th Gen).The e-commerce giant says the speaker combines a high-excursion woofer with a dedicated tweeter for improved highs and lows. Instead of simply increasing volume, Amazon claims it expanded the internal air space to improve bass generation more naturally.The Echo Dot Max also features built-in room adaptation. In simple terms, the speaker analyses room acoustics and automatically adjusts playback for better sound output depending on placement.Another major addition is the built-in smart home hub. The speaker supports Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Thread, Matter and Bluetooth connectivity right out of the box, making it easier to control compatible smart home devices.The Echo Dot Max comes in Graphite, Amethyst and Glacier White colour options.New Echo Studio Amazon has also refreshed the Echo Studio with a redesigned spherical form factor and a knitted fabric exterior. The company says the new design maintains acoustic transparency while giving the speaker a cleaner and more modern appearance.

The new Echo Studio combines a high-excursion woofer with three full-range drivers positioned to spread sound more evenly across the room.The speaker supports Dolby Atmos and room-adapting spatial audio. Similar to the Echo Dot Max, the Echo Studio can analyse room acoustics and fine-tune playback automatically.Powering the speaker is Amazon’s AZ3 Pro chip. The tech giant claims the chip improves Alexa wake-word detection accuracy by nearly 50 per cent while also enabling better conversation detection.Both speakers support multi-room music playback across Echo devices and can also be paired with compatible Fire TV products for an Alexa Home Theatre setup. Amazon says users can connect up to five Echo Dot Max or Echo Studio units together.
