Legendary Indian actor Dharmendra passed away today (November 24) at 89. His funeral was held at Pawan Hans Crematorium, Mumbai, where many Bollywood celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan,
Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and others went to pay their last respects to the ‘He-Man of Bollywood’. Dharmendra’s demise has left actor Tanuj Virwani heartbroken, as in an interview with Zoom, the actor mourned the veteran actor’s demise and remembered him.
Tanuj Virwani mourns Dharmendra’s demise
During a candid chat with us, Tanuj Virwani expressed his grief over Dharmendra’s demise. He said, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. The last 10 to 12 days have been an emotional rollercoaster ride because he was admitted to hospital, and horrible rumours and fake news started doing the rounds. We were relieved when he was shifted to his house after feeling well. I also got to know that his family was prepping for his 90th birthday. Now, the news about his demise has literally come like a hole from the moon.”

When asked if he has ever met Dharmendra in the past, Tanuj Virwani said, “I am extremely disheartened because I am a big fan of his work as an actor. But more importantly, I was very fond of him. Whenever I met him, he was very warm and affectionate. He was also very fond of my mother. They have worked together on a bunch of occasions. You could see his presence and legacy. His legacy will live on. He is going to be very badly missed. It is a big loss for the industry.”
For the unversed, Dharmendra had worked in more than 300 films in his 65-year-long career. After his demise, many celebrities have paid tribute to the legend on social media. May Dharmendra’s soul rest in peace!
