Speaking exclusively to us, Gippy dismissed rumours of being jealous of Diljit. The actor said, "Mujhe aaj tak ye baat nahi samajh aayi ki ye kaun log hai jo bolte hai ki usko uske saath jealousy hai. Punjabi industry mein Sargun aur Sonam (Bajwa) hai. Hum sab ikhate kaam karte hain."

Gippy further stated, "Mereko toh kabhi kisine bola nahi ki mujhe ussey problem aur jealousy hai. Toh fir logo ko kaha se pata chal jata hai? Inhone kaha se sun liya maine kisi actor ke baare mein bola hai."(Loose translation: I still don't understand who these people are who say they're jealous of him. There are Sargun and Sonam in the Punjabi industry. We all work together. No one has ever told me that I have a problem with him or am jealous of him. So how do people know? Where did they hear that I spoke about some actor?)Sargun, who was a part of the same conversation, also shared her opinion. The actress stated that if Gippy had problem with Diljit, then why did his son work with the Punjabi singer and actor. "That's it, and that's the end of the conversation. There is a camaraderie, which is why (he did). Otherwise, he will be like 'Hello beta, tum vaha nahi jaa sakte'," she said.
