In a recent interview with GQ, Josh shared several anecdotes about his life, career and personal things and he also trmentioned how his simple statement created a havoc for him as he faced huge backlash. He had once randomly said that he is not a swiftie leaving Taylor Swift fan's furious. Now, clearing the air on that matter, the actor said, "All of a sudden it garnered this, ‘F*** him! He’s a monster! Destroy him! He’s short! He hates her because he’s short!’ It’s just like, whoa! I think she’s great. Her music is not my kind of music."

Months ago, Josh had gone to attend Taylor's concert with his mom and the singer was kind enough to attend them. Later, when the actro said that he is not a Swiftie, social media got against him and urged the industry to cancel him. This is when Josh came out and clarified that he has nothing against the singer or her fans, leaving netizens in relief.

For the unversed, Josh and his mom, Michelle Hutcherson, attended Taylor's New Orleans show in October 2024, and Michelle excitedly posted about the night to her public Instagram page at the time. In a carousel that included a photo of her posing with Taylor's close friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
