superstar Diljit Dosanjh is ready to bring his charm and wit to the hot seat of Amitabh Bachchan’s popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. In a newly released promo, the singer-actor’s candid humour has already left audiences in splits, especially when he made a surprising confession about one of Big B’s classic films.

In the fun-filled clip, Diljit is seen chatting warmly with the legendary host before revealing that there’s one film of Amitabh’s that didn’t quite win his heart. “When your films used to release, I’d get really excited - action, drama, everything! But sir, there’s one film I didn’t like - Saudagar,” Diljit admitted with a straight face. With his signature comic timing, Diljit continued, “Sir, they announced your movie with so much excitement, and then I saw you selling gur (jaggery) in it!” The unexpected remark made Amitabh burst into laughter. Talking about the episode, Fans can catch the full episode featuring Diljit Dosanjh’s hilarious banter and Big B’s priceless reactions on Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, airing October 31 at 9 PM on Sony TV. For those unfamiliar, Saudagar is a 1973 drama directed by Sudhendu Roy, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Nutan. The film, adapted from the Bengali short story Ras by Narendranath Mitra, tells the tale of Moti, a gur trader who falls in love with Phoolbanu (Padma Khanna) but marries Mahzubi (Nutan), a widow skilled at making high-quality jaggery. Once Moti achieves success, he leaves Mahzubi to marry Phoolbanu, only to later realise that his wealth came from Mahzubi’s hard work and sacrifice.
