Arunima Sharma on directing Four More Shots Please 4
Speaking exclusively to us, Arunima admitted, "So I would not say pressure, but it was definitely the reason that excited me. Why did I say yes to this? Was that because it's so loved? It's a hit show. For me as a director to continue its legacy was exciting. So there's not as much pressure and excitement, but there are some challenges."The director mentioned that the four protagonists know each other and have lived their characters since season one. On the other hand, she was the new one on set. "So as a director I did not come in with arrogance. I came in with a sort of humility that I am joining a team that's already been working on so many seasons, like the stylist is the same across seasons and so on. For me, it was very important to understand that my four protagonists know their characters even better than me," added Arunima.

Arunima Sharma on working with Four More Shots Please 4 lead cast
Continuing the chat, Arunima reflected on working with Kirti, Maanvi, Sayani and Bani. "I would trust their instincts. I would let them improvise. I would let them fly. I would not be extremely specific. I feel in a series, which is this genre, a light rom-com genre, it needs to have that fluidity," the director revealed.Arunima further shared how the lead star cast enjoyed creative freedom on the set. "I am happy for them to sometimes change dialogue, for them to change some pauses. Even as a director, I keep my camera movements mostly handheld and a bit floating and fluid so that they can move about in a space. So I had to give them the sort of freedom to be themselves because they knew the characters even better than me," she said, and signed off.Meanwhile,
Four More Shots Please 4 will stream on Amazon Prime Video on December 19.
