Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor recently fell prey to a death hoax. The rumours of his demise spread like wildfire on social media, leaving his fans concerned. After the senior actor noticed it, he shared a video on his Instagram handle to share the truth. In a video message to his fans and followers, Kapoor assured everyone that he was happy and healthy. Having said that, the 73-year-old further mentioned that he will initiate a cyber complaint about the fake death news. He also urged everyone to ignore the misinformation online.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Shakti Kapoor posted a video, issuing a clarification over his death speculations. The veteran actor appeared calm and composed in the clip, but he strongly reacted. Last year, Raza Murad found himself in a similar situation. The actor lodged a complaint at Andheri Police Station after a social media post alleged that he was dead. Speaking to news agency ANI, Murad had shared that someone posted about his demise and offered condolences. It was also alleged that the actor worked for many years in the industry but no one remembered him.In the past, actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Rajinikanth, and others became victims of death hoaxes.
