Despite playing an antagonist and the leader of an underworld gang in Lyari, Pakistan, he has grabbed maxomum eyeballs. But, for the millenials, Akshaye has been one of the most loved actors in the 2000s. Akshaye plays a Baloch leader and a gangster in
Dhurandhar. He's the most powerful character in Lyari, who literally owns the entire town. Akshaye has received a lot of praise for playing a ruthless, powerful and brutal gangster, while also being soft at heart when it is about his family and core gang members. His character becomes instrumental in pushing the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai as the arms used by terrorists are shown to be supplied by his gang. Ranveer Singh as spy agent Hamza Ali Mazari joins him undercover to dig out information and ultimately become the reason for his encounter in the hands of SP Chaudhary Aslam played by Sanjay Dutt.
