Makkal Thirpe Mahesan Thirpu,” a Tamil phrase that translates to “The people’s verdict is God’s verdict.” In his post, Lawrence stressed that democracy should be respected regardless of political differences. “The people have spoken, and a new government has been chosen through their mandate. The will of the people must be respected,” he wrote.The actor further added that leaders who support and respect the democratic process would continue to earn the public’s trust, while those attempting to create divisions or unnecessary conflict would only disappoint the people further. “Leaders who support and respect this democratic decision will continue to earn the people’s respect. Those who try to create issues or divisions will only attract more disappointment from the public,” he stated. Lawrence also called on political leaders to cooperate in ensuring a smooth formation of the new government.
