Dacoit's Advance bookings in US soar past 100K

According to latest numbers reported by industry trade tracker Sacnilk, Dacoit is indicated to have a solid response in advance sales, and is set to take a big start in the region. Adivi Sesh's Dacoit has reportedly soared past 100K ticket sales in North America - for the premiere. The movie's premiere is scheduled for Apriln 9 and It implies that the decision to postpone Dacoit to avoid clash with Dhurandhar The Revenge is proving to be a wise decision for the makers.

Dacoit star Adivi Sesh on delay in film's release

At the trailer launch of Dacoit, Adivi Sesh revealed that the film was initially planned for a March 19 release, aligning with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year. According to him, the date made perfect sense, especially for the film’s southern versions. However, things didn’t go as expected when it came to securing the kind of theatrical presence the team was aiming for. He pointed out that the strong hold of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 in cinemas at the time made it difficult for Dacoit to get the desired number of screens and show timings.

Sesh explained that instead of pushing ahead with a compromised release, the team decided to step back and reassess the situation. They were clear about wanting the film to have the right platform and visibility when it arrived in theatres. After discussions with distributors, they were assured that April 10 would provide a much better window, with stronger showcasing, better screen allocation, and more favourable show timings. Only after receiving that confidence did they lock in the new release date and make it official.Meanwhile speaking about Dacoit, the film features Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap in the central roles. The film follows the tale of an angry convict who is seeking vengeance against his former girlfriend who betrayed him. The movie directed by Shaneil Deo has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi.
