Grand Theft Auto 6 fans hoping for Trailer 3 to drop this month may need to slow down their expectations a little. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has now hinted that Rockstar Games is unlikely to begin the official marketing push for GTA 6 before summer officially starts, which means the next big reveal may still be a few weeks away. The comments came during an interview with Variety, where Zelnick addressed growing speculation surrounding the game’s next trailer, pricing rumours and launch timeline. Over the past few weeks, social media had been flooded with theories claiming Rockstar could suddenly release Trailer 3 before the end of May. But based on Zelnick’s latest statement, that now seems less likely.Rockstar May Wait Until
Summer To Begin GTA 6 MarketingWhile speaking to Variety, Zelnick explained that Rockstar Games plans to kick off GTA 6’s major promotional campaign during the summer period. “So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing ‘GTA 6,’” he said. That single comment has now become the centre of discussion across the GTA community. Since summer officially begins around June 21, many fans believe Rockstar may hold back new trailers, screenshots or gameplay reveals until then.Interestingly, this also reduces the chances of GTA 6 appearing at gaming showcases happening before late June, despite ongoing rumours around Summer Game Fest and other events.Take-Two Avoids GTA 6 Pricing QuestionsZelnick also shut down expectations that Take-Two would reveal GTA 6 pricing details during its recent earnings call. “No,”Zelnick told Variety when asked whether pricing would be announced alongside company earnings. “We never make marketing announcements in our analyst calls. Never ever ever,” he added. That statement also applies to rumours around pre-orders and collector’s editions, which many fans expected could appear soon after the earnings report.GTA 6 Launch Date Still Locked For NovemberDespite endless speculation online about delays, Take-Two continues to maintain that GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.“I think reiterating November 19 as launch day today is probably a positive. I think we’ve been really clear that we’re releasing the title on November 19.” Zelnick said.
