After Ramayana, Sunny Deol To Star In Lord Hanuman-Centric Musical: Report

After Gadar 2's mammoth success, there's been no looking back for Sunny Deol. The Bollywood actor has signed several big projects, including Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 and 2. Sunny will be seen playing

the role of Lord Hanuman in the mythological epic. Now, it has been reported that Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra is working on Lord Hanuman-centric musical film. According to a media report, Sunny is the top choice for it.

Sunny Deol to headline Lord Hanuman-centric musical film?

The project, which will reportedly star Sunny, is said to be the second entry in the Ramayana universe. As per Mid-Day report, this film is being described as 'mythological-pop opera with thunderous action'."The moment they saw the initial writing of Hanuman’s sequences in ‘Ramayana’, the team knew he needed his own stage. And Sunny paaji’s name kept coming up because who else could play it better than him, as he is also part of the original," a source told the tabloid. The report further mentions that the makers plan to blend high-octane set pieces, music, legend, aerial combat, flaming-torch choreography, and a 12-minute song. Hanuman is their Hulk — unstoppable, beloved, and built for spectacle."

Sunny Deol's work front

On the work front, Sunny was last seen in Gopichand Malineni's Jaat. The actor's upcoming film is JP Dutta's Border 2 with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. The war drama is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
