actor Bharat Kapoor, who featured in several Bollywood films, passed away on Monday (April 27) due to multiple organ failure. He was 80. His friend and actor Avatar Gill confirmed his demise and said that the Swarg actor was cremated earlier this evening in the presence of his close friends and family members. Bharat had been feeling unwell for the last three days. Sadly, he died due to multiple organ failure. He breathed his last at Sion Hospital, a government hospital in Mumbai. The veteran actor’s demise is indeed a big loss to the Indian cinema.

Bharat Kapoor’s demise to India Today. He told the portal that he came just from Kapoor’s cremation, which happened at 6:30 pm. The actor further said, “He died at 3pm today in Sion Hospital, Mumbai. He was not feeling well from last three days. From last three days his multiple organs started failing." Veteran filmmaker
Ashoke Pandit has also paid tribute to Bharat Kapoor after learning about his demise. He took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of veteran theatre and film actor Bharat Kapoor ji. Have great memories working with him in the initial days of my career. A great human being. Om Shanti.”
The netizens have also started mourning the demise of Bharat Kapoor on social media. Big celebrities have not yet mourned his demise on social media.

Bharat Kapoor was a renowned face in Hindi cinema. He had actively worked in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. In his career, the actor built a strong body of work by playing key roles such as supporting characters and villains. He was also known for playing the roles of police officers and lawyers in several films. Bharat Kapoor had acted in some of the popular films in Hindi cinema. Some of his notable films are Noorie, Ram Balram, Love Story, Bazaar, Aakhree Raasta, Ghulami, Satyamev Jayate, Swarg, Rang, Khuda Gawah, Barsaat, Saajan Chale Sasural, Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities and so on. Bharat Kapoor is reportedly survived by wife Lopa and sons Rahul and Sagar. His daughter Kavita died a few years ago. His son Rahul Kapoor is a film director.
