What is the story about?
The 79th annual Tony Awards ceremony was held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday. Some of the biggest names in Broadway and theatre came under one roof to celebrate the best productions and performances from the 2025-26 Broadway and theatre season. Grammy-winning singer Pink hosted the ceremony.
Among the biggest winners was Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman, which emerged as the most awarded production with six Tony Awards. Directed by Joe Mantello, it earned awards for Best Direction of a Play and Best Actress in a Play for Laurie Metcalf.
Schmigadoon! and The Lost Boys, which had 12 nominations each, received four awards at the ceremony. Another major winner was Ragtime, which won four Tony Awards.
