98th Academy Awards: When and where to watch Oscars nominations in India, Homebound in focus

The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced today, January 22, officially kickstarting the Oscars race. Film industries across the world, including India, will be watching closely as the Academy reveals the shortlisted films and performances for cinema’s most prestigious honours.

Indian viewers can tune in to the live nominations announcement at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 22. The nominations will be streamed live on the Academy’s official platforms, including Oscar.com and Oscars.org. Audiences in India can also watch the announcement across the Academy’s social media handles on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

The event will be hosted by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman, who will present the nominations live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre.

Homebound has advanced to the next round of voting in the Best International Feature Film category. The 98th Academy Awards ceremony will take place in March at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, with a total of 24 categories set to be awarded. The 2026 edition will also mark the introduction of the Best Casting category, recognising the contribution of casting directors.
