Sandip Patel, an Indian-origin filmmaker and producer, grabbed the limelight at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which took place between May 12 and May 23, for his two upcoming Hollywood projects. He also caught attention for international film collaborations at the prestigious global event.
Patel attended the2026 Cannes to represent his production banner, SRHP Films and its upcoming Hollywood feature film, Holy Father, directed by Shravan Tiwari. The film, which stars renowned actor Eric Roberts and Mary Lirette, drew attention from industry professionals for its international scale and cinematic presentation. It is scheduled to be released in August this year.
Based in Augusta, Georgia, for over two decades, Patel has been steadily building a name for himself in Hollywood through several ambitious international productions. Through SRHP Films, he has focused on creating projects that combine Hollywood-style filmmaking with Indian storytelling sensibilities.
Besides Holy Father, Patel also launched another Hollywood project, titled Sundown Town. The film had a launch in the United States on May 23, 2026. Also directed by Shravan Tiwari, the film has been produced by Patel and Rita Patel under the SRHP Films banner and eyes a release in 2027.

SRHP Films is also actively producing Hindi-language films alongside its Hollywood ventures. The upcoming Bollywood feature of the production house includes Two Zero One Four. Directed by Shravan Tiwari, it features Jackie Shroff and Akshay Oberoi in prominent roles. The film is slated for release later in 2026.
Apart from promoting upcoming films, Patel also actively participated in networking sessions and international market discussions during Cannes 2026. As a member of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), he received guidance on global film markets and business opportunities from IMPPA Vice President Atul Patel.
He also received support from award-winning digital marketing executive and photographer Ashvin Borad, who was honoured at the Filmfare India International Film Festival.
Their discussions at the film festival reportedly focused on expanding the reach of Indian cinema in international markets and exploring cross-cultural collaborations.
