What is the story about?
Punjabi music artist Karan Aujla has expanded his ongoing P-POP CULTURE India Tour 2026 - adding five new cities to the schedule on his birthday. The updated routing now includes: Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow and Ludhiana - taking the tour’s total footprint to 12 cities nationwide.
The expansion follows strong early demand during ticket sales in late November 2025, when more than 1,00,000 tickets were sold within the first hour of general availability. Promoters estimate the full India run could now draw over five lakh attendees, positioning it as the largest Punjabi pop tour staged in the country to date.
Karan Aujla India Tour expansion: What changed
The newly added cities mark a wider geographic spread, with demand emerging from western, eastern and north Indian markets. Organisers say the response reflects the growing mainstream presence of Punjabi pop beyond traditional strongholds.
The tour will also include stadium-format shows, a first for Aujla in India. Industry estimates suggest the expanded schedule will generate activity across hospitality, logistics, production, and local vendor networks, contributing to the wider live music economy.
Aujla is currently among the most streamed Punjabi artists on Spotify, with sustained listenership across India and overseas markets.
P-POP CULTURE album and global momentum
The India tour builds onAujla’ s It Was All A Dream Tour (2024), which attracted over 2,00,000 fans across 10 shows domestically and formed part of a global run that crossed $15 million in revenue, spanning Canada, the UK, North America, New Zealand and India.
In 2025, Aujla became the first Punjabi artist to headline Rolling Loud, a major international hip-hop festival. His album P-POP CULTURE, released in August 2025, debuted at No. 1 on Spotify and Apple Music in India and Canada, with all 11 tracks charting simultaneously. The album also recorded the highest debut for a Punjabi-language project on the Canadian Billboard charts.
