No injuries were reported in the incident, and it was not immediately clear whether the director was present at home at the time, as per PTI.
Initial information suggested that four rounds were fired at the building by unknown persons. Soon after the incident, security around the premises was significantly strengthened as a precautionary measure.
Later during the day, four people were detained in connection with the incident from Karvenagar and Dhayari areas in Pune in an operation carried out by personnel from the Warje Malwadi Police Station, as per PTI.

"Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating," an official was quoted as saying by PTI, confirming that an FIR has been registered in connection with the firing.
Police, crime branch and forensic teams deployed
Police personnel from Juhu police station, along with teams from the Mumbai Crime Branch, rushed to the spot shortly after the incident was reported. A forensic science team was also deployed to collect evidence from the scene.

Police and forensic teams were seen at Shetty’s residence as investigations got underway. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined to identify the accused and reconstruct the sequence of events, as per ANI.
Mumbai Police form multiple teams
Following the shooting incident, heavy police security has been deployed around Rohit Shetty's residence in Juhu. The motive behind the attack is still unknown, said Mumbai Police in a statement, as per ANI.
The police further said that the crime branch has taken over key aspects of the investigation. "Twelve teams have been formed by the Crime Branch to apprehend the suspect in this case," Mumbai Police said.
