What is the story about?
We are fast approaching the new year, and that also means a fresh list of releases is all set to hit the cinemas. Leading the slate is Ikkis, a biographical drama starring Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra, opening in cinemas on January 1.
The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants and the suspenseful American drama The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, are hitting the cinemas on January 2.
Ikkis (January 1)
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this biographical war drama is based on the real-life events of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of India's youngest recipients of the Param Vir Chakra during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War. Legendary actor Dharmendra gives what is considered to be his last on-screen performance in the film, which also stars Agastya Nanda in the lead role, after debuting with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
