Director Sam Mendes has added four more names to his four-part Beatles project - a series of films that will tell the band’s story from four separate perspectives.
Sony Entertainment also confirmed new cast members for the film. The list now includes Lucy Boynton as Jane Asher, Harry Lawtey as Stuart Sutcliffe, Morfydd Clark as Cynthia Lennon, and Farhan Akhtar as Indian composer Ravi Shankar, in his Hollywood debut. Core cast members of the four-part Beatles project
The four films will centre individually on Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Paul Mescal plays McCartney. Harrison Dickinson takes on Lennon. Joseph Quinn portrays Harrison. Barry Keoghan appears as Starr.
Each instalment of the four-film cinematic event will approach the band’s rise - from Liverpool clubs to global recognition - through a different point of view. The narratives are expected to intersect.

The project also marks the first time that Apple Corps Ltd. has granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film adaptation. All four films are scheduled for theatrical release in April 2028.
Supporting roles and collaborators for the four-film cinematic event
Previously announced cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd and Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey. James Norton will portray manager Brian Epstein, while Harry Lloyd is set to play producer George Martin.
Behind the camera, Mendes has assembled a crew that includes cinematographer Greig Fraser, editor Lee Smith and multiple production designers, among them Stefania Cella, Mark Tildesley and Neal Callow. Costume design will be handled by Sinéad Kidao, with Naomi Donne overseeing hair and makeup.
Music supervision includes executive producer Giles Martin, who previously worked on "The Beatles: Get Back."
Release and production details of the Beatles biopic
Sony Pictures is financing and distributing the four films. According to studio announcements, each instalment will debut in cinemas rather than streaming platforms. The structure remains unusual for a music biopic. Four films, four viewpoints, one band. Production is ongoing, with further updates expected ahead of the planned 2028 release.
