What is the story about?
Tamil action thriller Blast, starring Arjun, Preity Mukundhan and Abhirami, has witnessed a strong jump in box office collections after completing four days in theatres. Directed by Subash K Raj and backed by AGS Entertainment, the film released worldwide on May 28, 2026.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Blast earned an estimated ₹6 crore net in India on Day 4 (Sunday), reflecting a significant rise from its opening weekend performance. The collection was around 31.9% higher than its Day 3 earnings.

With the latest numbers, Blast has taken its total India net collection to an estimated ₹13.95 crore, while its gross domestic earnings stand at around ₹ 16.03 crore. The film was screened across 2,706 shows on its fourth day.
The film has also shown a steady rise in occupancy, growing from 21.5% on its opening day to 46.3% by Sunday. During the same period, the number of shows increased from 1,728 to 2,706.
On Sunday, alone, the Tamil version contributed an estimated ₹5.15 crore net with 57% occupancy across 1,879 shows. The Telugu version added around ₹85 lakh net from 827 shows, registering an occupancy of 22%.
Tamil Nadu led the collections with ₹3.75 crore, followed by Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with ₹ 1 crore. Kerala contributed ₹1.45 crore, while Karnataka added ₹ 63 lakh.

The film also performed well overseas, collecting an estimated ₹1.50 crore from international markets on Sunday. This pushed its overseas total to around ₹5.55 crore and its worldwide gross collection to approximately ₹ 21.58 crore after four days in theatres.

The growth has been consistent throughout the opening weekend.
Blast opened with ₹1.25 crore net on Day 1, followed by ₹2.15 crore on Friday and ₹4.55 crore on Saturday. Sunday turned out to be the film's biggest day so far, with collections touching ₹6 crore net.
