Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle has reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday, April 11.
According to hospital sources, she is currently undergoing treatment in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) unit. Dr. Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital confirmed the development, stating that the veteran singer is receiving medical care following the cardiac episode.
There has been no official statement so far from Bhosle’s family or the
hospital management regarding her condition.

Asha Bhosle began her musical journey at a young age, singing her first song in the Marathi film Majha Bal (1943). She later lent her voice to the song Sawan Aya in the Hindi film Chunariya (1948). Beyond singing, she also explored acting and appeared in the Marathi film Mai in 2013.
Apart from her musical accomplishments, Bhosle is known for her culinary skills, with restaurants bearing her name in Dubai and Kuwait. Over the years, she has sung in around 20 Indian and international languages and, as per her own account in 2006, recorded over 12,000 songs.
She has collaborated with some of the most renowned composers in the industry, including Shankar-Jaikishan, Sachin Dev Burman, R. D. Burman, O. P. Nayyar, Ilaiyaraaja, Bappi Lahiri and A. R. Rahman.
Her illustrious career has been recognised with numerous accolades, including seven Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback Singer and a Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
