The release of Sunny Deol’s much-anticipated war drama Border 2 has sparked unusual excitement among fans, some of whom were spotted arriving at theatres on tractors to watch the film. Border 2, which hit theatres nationwide on Friday, is the sequel to Deol’s 1997 blockbuster Border, directed by J.P. Dutta, which chronicled the story of an Indian battalion facing a massive Pakistani strike force.

The sequel is directed by Anurag Singh and produced under the banners of T-Series and J.P. Films, with backing from Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. Alongside Deol, the film stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, with pivotal performances from Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh.
